CITGO Employees & Retirees Building Another Habitat Home in Tulsa

	Tulsa CITGO retirees and employees are busily working on the 6th CITGO sponsored Habitat for Humanity home in Tulsa. We appreciate CITGO's continued support of the Tulsa CITGO Retiree Group's involvement with Habitat for Humanity. Not only is CITGO's support vital to this project, volunteers are essential.      The walls were raised on Catawna Harris' new home on Saturday, September 12, 2009. CITGO volunteers, along with co-sponsor Asbury United Methodist Church volunteers, are working on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Anticipated completion of the home is November 2009.
	CITGO Retirees have not only built directly on Habitat houses in Tulsa during the Soring and Fall, but they also get together on other Wednesdays to work in the woodshop. There is a substantial amount of prep work needed for houses, such as building and painting the cabinets and building window frames. This work must be done before the crews go out to the building sites for the homes.      The founding members of the CITGO Retiree Habitat builders are getting older and want to encourage new members/volunteers (women included) to lend a hand to this worthy cause. Tools and training are available. Just bring a willingness to help and have fun. They work most Wednesdays from 9 am until ......they get tired!
